The Tolsey Museum.

Situated 1/2 way down the High Street joining the Entrance into Sheep Street .

The Tolsey now Houses the Museum , In years gone by Traders would pay their Tolls here for the right to trade in the Town.

The Town Council meet in the Chamber on the First floor regularly  every month.

Burford`s History of a town Dates back to about 1250 AD and was Important enough to be given its own Seal. The Ramping Cat ( originally the Lion) appears quite a lot in Burford none less than as a Badge on the Blazers of the Pupils of Burford School. And Recently put above Bear Court

The Seal can be seen among other Artifacts in the Museum.
